Ti Machan
A celebration of the matriarch. ‘Ti machan’ highlights the women that make the island of Hispaniola move, the street merchants. In Haiti, they are referred as Ti Machan, or “little merchants”. In spite of the poverty many have faced, the ‘Ti machan’ continue to show out day after day to make a living. They serve as the breadwinners of their families and the soul of the nation.
