Too often black history month is solely focused on the accomplishments of men. This black history month I and a few talented artists joined together to create a piece that would change that narrative. In this series we looked to highlight women, the black woman specifically, and her pivotal role in enhancing the black experience. She is mother, protector, comforter. Without her we would have nothing. Handle her with care.
